GKI is keeping busy in Washington!
The team has been in DC for over a week, and the girls have adjusted to their new environment. Yesterday the girls had the chance to have soccer practice led by Coach Moses on the National Mall. The team jogged to the World War II Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial. The players commented that it was good to remember wars to remember those who died and to avoid it in the future.
The team has had a few great skills clinics in local DC high schools this week. Jennifer Achen had the highest laser tag score and is very proud of her new found skill!
Tomorrow GKI will be on the George Washington University campus. In the afternoon they will have a Q and A with GW students about their lives and their perceptions on the US. Feel free to stop by if you are in the DC area!
